FIT Kids Program

To Parents of 2nd to 5th Grade Students:
 
Coach Mike Kersey wishes to let parents of all 2nd through 5th Grade students know that we are offering an 8 week after-school program called Fitness Improves Thinking Kids starting March 22nd and ending May21st.  The time after school presents an ideal opportunity for enjoyable physical activity, physical fitness and nutrition education.

Greetings Indian Land Elementary Family,

We are all geared up for another great week at ILE!  Below is listed what we have going on this week.

  Monday, February 8th: 
 
- Kids on the Ball starts today.  This program runs from 2:30-3:30 in the cafeteria.

- PTA Newsletters go home today - please ask your child for it!

  Tuesday, February 9th: 
 
- The LCSD Spelling Bee is today at 4:00PM at USC-L.  I know Coda Fontaine will do an excellent job representing ILE!!  We are so proud of you, Coda!
 
- School Improvement Council meeting in the Media Center at 6:00 PM.  All parents and staff are invited to be a part of this council.  The School Improvement Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  Every 5 years we have the chance to give our input and create a plan to guide our school to improve in many areas.  This is your chance!  To learn more about the purpose of School Improvement Councils in South Carolina, visit http://sic.sc.gov/ 
 
- Communication folders go home today - ask your child for it!!

- Spirit Day for meeting our goal in selling sneakers for the Juvenile Diabetes Association.  All of the ILE family can wear Spirit wear, Valentine's shirts, or a red shirt today.  Jeans or other kinds of bottoms are fine as long as they are dress code length.
 
- Cupcake Exenption Day for Valentine's parties
 
- Warrior Pride Family Dance Night at 7:00 in the gym - it is not too late to purchase tickets!  Please send money and info by Wednesday, February 10th.

Kindergarten Registration "Kick-Off" Mar. 4th
 
Do you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten this fall?  If so, please see the information sheet for registration information under Parent Resources on the left-hand side of this webpage.  Information is provided regarding registration requirements, Kindergarten testing availability, an example of the daily schedule for Kindergarten students, and the Kindergarten Open House scheduled for April 19th.
